[Monday, 10/22/2018] Just days ago, The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) revealed an amazing photo on Twitter of an iceberg located near the Larsen C ice shelf in Antarctica. At first glance, the iceberg appears to have been “cut” into a perfect rectangle, but the space agency described it as “tabular” in their tweet:
#IceBridge flight: A tabular iceberg can be seen on the right, floating among sea ice just off of the Larsen C ice shelf. The iceberg’s sharp angles and flat surface indicate that it probably recently calved from the ice shelf.”
